The Unsung Heroes of the Changhua Plain: A Brief Introduction -
Lu Hui-kuan (1947-)
Lu’s enlightenment over democracy came from her late husband Chang Tsung-min. However, she went further than him, facing the water cannons and witnessing the heartbreaking self-immolation of Chan I-hua at Chen Nan-Jung’s funeral. Later, she focused on issues of environmental protection and served as the former president of the Taiwan Environmental Protection Union’s Changhua branch.
