Huang Chieh-chuan (1961-)


Huang and her husband owned an ironworks together. As long as there were protest rallies, the couple would go with their two daughters. A participant of the May 20 Peasant Movement as well as a speaking tour in support of Taiwanese independence advocates Hsu Tsao-te and Tsai Yu-chuan Taiwan, Huang was deeply shocked when she witnessed riot police mercilessly beating innocent protesters and students.
