The Unsung Heroes of the Changhua Plain: A Brief Introduction -

Li Ti-ching (1947-2000)

Li graduated from the National Chengchi University. A firm believer in democracy, he refused to submit himself to the dictatorship. Therefore he chose to be a rice seller so he could promote Taiwan’s democratization. One day he sent a bag of rice to a customer, but then carried it back to his car since he was irritated by the customer’s pro-KMT comments. “I’m not selling!” He yelled.
