The Unsung Heroes of the Changhua Plain: A Brief Introduction -
Teng Ping-chang (1959-)
After graduating from the Specialized Program of the R.O.C. Marine Corps School, Teng served as an executive officer. He did not know of the KMT’s malevolent stigmatization of Taiwan’s democratic movements until he retired from military service. As he completed the first session of the Democracy Workshop, he went to the countryside with other participants to make speeches promoting Taiwan’s independence while vigorously dedicating himself to the street protests.
